It's A...
GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my goodness, I'm so excited I can't stand it. I was secretly hoping for another girl, but of course you don't tell anyone that b/c , well, b/c you just don't. We had a sneak peek at our 17 week appointment, but it was made 100% official at our 21-week appointment last week when we had the in-depth ultrasound.
At the 17 week appt., Dr. Oliver said she could do a quick glance and probably tell me the sex, but Chris wasn't at that appointment and I didn't want to find out without him. So she took a glance, didn't say a word, printed out the pictures, and sealed it in an envelope for us to open together. She said she couldn't get a perfect look, but that she was 90% sure. Chris and I met up for lunch that day, and of course we ran into friends that we had to sit and eat lunch with. Normally I'd be excited to eat with our friends, but that envelope was burning a hole in my purse!! So I tried to be friendly, all the while slipping in comments like, "You said you had a meeting after lunch, David, don't feel like you have to stay and keep us company." They FINALLY left, and Chris and I could open the envelope. I let him open it and look first since I get to do all the other fun stuff (like being the first one to know we're pregnant, feeling the first kicks, etc.) He opened it, looked inside, smiled the biggest smile, and said, "it's another baby girl".
We told our families and a few friends, and waited until the big ultrasound last week to announce it to the world. She is currently measuring about 2 weeks bigger than her gestational age...so it looks like she may be another large baby like Red. But unlike Red, our littlest girl was moving during the ENTIRE u/s...Delilah was definitely not that active during hers. I can't wait meet our newest munchkin and see all the other differences between my children. Wow-I love that "child" has become "children".
I am over the moon that Delilah gets to have a sister. And that I get to have another daughter. And that there will be another girl born into this world lucky enough to have Chris as her father.
Now the hard part...a name...

Homemade Fashion Fridays-For Jes
This post shows a little package I put together for my very dear friend, Jessica, who just had her second baby, a precious little boy.
Jes went through some SERIOUS complications during labor and delivery and everything was really scary for about a week. My doctor told me I was unable to travel (there was brief concern about my pregnancy...don't worry, baby & I are 100% fine), and I was so distraught that I couldn't be with Jes in Dallas. Since I felt frustrated and helpless, I started knitting. And praying. At the beginning of every even row, I would pray for Jes to heal fully, and at the beginning of every odd row, I would alternately pray for Jes's husband and two children. In the end, God was very good and Jes is now happy and healthy, at home with her precious family...and I had a nice-sized afghan to show for it. :) To round out the package, I sewed a dress for her 2 yr old, Claire, and a couple burp cloths to help clean up Finn! :)
