Happy Easter!

Spring has definitely been taking its sweet time getting to the northeast this year! So our Easter festivities have been undertaken in jacket and mittens, instead of dresses and strappy sandals. We have still managed to make the most of it.
We started off going to an Easter Egg Hunt the weekend before Easter with some friends from the building. It was at a beautiful park that overlooks the East River, about 20 blocks from where we live.
Noelle, Delilah, Alexa, Maya

The hunt is on!

City girls

Then, on Easter Sunday, we all headed to Brooklyn to attend the church where I work. It was the first time that I got to give the children's sermon with my own girls there, and I loved it. It was a beautiful day.
It's a long subway ride to Brooklyn
After church, we headed back in to the city and Noelle fell asleep on the way. It counted as her nap, so we decided to go out to a late lunch once we were back in Manhattan. This first pic shows that you can take the girls out of Texas, but you can't take Texas out of the girls. The fact that Delilah pulled her headband down the second she picked up the toy rifle was hysterical...how can she intuitively know to imitate Rambo if she's never even heard of him?!?!?

Our sweet Easter darlings
Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend celebrating all the right things...and a few of the fun, meaningless things, too! :)
