Governor's Island

We wanted to do something fun and new today, so we headed to Governor's Island, at the south end of Manhattan. A VERY short (like 5 minute) ferry ride takes you to the island, which is an absolutely precious place with historical monuments and fun parks and playgrounds. The girls were very squirrely today...I think Chris called them 'manic' at some point. They just had all this energy and wouldn't listen and couldn't focus. We thought the boat ride and the sand and the grass would help calm them down but it seemed to just rev them up more. Oh well, at least they were in a place where they could let it out. :)
Ferry ride!

LOVE the juxtaposition of sand and skyline!

Noelle would play in sand forever if we let her

There is a new Hammock Grove that we had to check out.

Delilah at the top. So proud of herself! :)

Delilah told me to take a picture because she wanted to pose. :)

Fun swing!

I love this shot. A rare moment where you capture their real expressions on camera.
Fun day with our monkeys!
