We Love Greyson!

Cannon and I realized it had been waaaaay too long since all of us had hung out, so the Huntleys headed to San Antonio to spend a weekend with the Cliftons. Chris & Cannon got a round of golf in and the rest of the time was spent playing and swimming. This is the first time that Greyson has been old enough to really play with Delilah and she LOVED it!!!! After we got home she spent the next few nights telling us that she wanted to see Greyson in the morning because she missed him. Red & Greyson are fifteen months apart, and Greyson & Noelle are fifteen months apart, so I predict many fun years ahead!

The hammock was definitely a hit!

Greyson's first bath with someone else!
I love this pic b/c they have the exact same exasperated expression.

Noelle sat in this bouncer often, and G & Red were determined to make sure it was always vibrating and playing fun songs for her

Uncle Cannon is the best!!!!
Hope we play again soon!

Bubbles & Baking with the Bighams

Okay, days and weeks are flying by and I have no idea when we actually visited the Bighams, but I think it was a couple weekends ago. We went to get the last of our furniture from our Austin house, and spent the night with Laura, Scott, & Makinley. We had SO MUCH fun--I think the pictures speak for themselves!!!

These last two pics of Delilah playing dress up crack me up. She just came downstairs this way and I thought Laura & I were going to die of laughter.

And for those of you who are wondering why Red is in diapers in these pics, let me explain: Delilah is prone to car sickness and vomited profusely as we were turning into the Bigham's subdivision. We bathed her immediately, but when she got dressed, she promptly had a potty accident b/c she was still so out of it. Needless to say, I was DONE with bodily fluids at that point, so diapers it was for the rest of the day. :)

Rice, Rice, Baby!

The pediatrician said I should start Noelle on solids between 4 and 6 months. I was determined to wait as long as possible b/c I just don't want her growing up, you know? But the baby bird was knocking 8 ounce bottles back like they were nothing, so I figured I should probably start really feeding the kid. :)

Okay, Mom, I'm ready!

Hmmmm, what is this stuff? Big sister is helping, but Noelle still isn't sure Okay, maybe it's not so bad YUM! Noelle now has one cereal meal a day and LOVES it...reaches for the spoon and can't get it in fast enough!

5 Months Old!

I'm a few days late, but the littlest one is now 5 months old!!! She just keeps getting sweeter and smile-ier every day. Still wakes up around 4 or 5am for a bottle, but there have recently been several nights where she slept from 7pm to 7am...so nice! She is also rolling all over the place, putting everything in her mouth, and drooling so much that she leaves a small puddle wherever she lands for more than ten seconds.

Because of the Vicodin I wanted (needed?) to take after my appendectomy, nursing is officially over. :( The nurses gave me all sorts of rules about when & how I could feed Noelle in order to minimize her intake of the drug, but it just seemed too risky to me. She is doing great, of course; I still miss it a bit.

And let's go ahead and write down a few more things about me, in case my daughters want to know when they have kids:
--I have no idea what Noelle's "typical schedule" is, whereas I knew Delilah's to the minute. Everyone says it's because you're more relaxed with the second one, but I don't know if that's entirely accurate. I was pretty relaxed with Red, I just had SO MUCH more time to write things down and make plans.
--The body is taking much longer to re-adjust itself. :) After Delilah, I had a flat tummy again in about 10 weeks. Here we are at 20 weeks, and my tummy is flat in the morning, but has popped out again by bedtime. :) Don't know if it's gravity, or lax muscles, or age--probably all three.
--Just now feeling like my energy level is back to normal. Perhaps it's just been enough time, or perhaps I had to wait until I stopped nursing and my hormones went back to normal.
Okay, enough about me. Back to Noelle:
--still has beautiful blue eyes
--still has completely indiscernible hair color. At any moment it can look blonde, brown, or red.
--loves looking at Delilah. All the time.

--starting to sit up on her own & gets so sad when she falls over

--barely wimpers when she gets hungry, but as soon as she sees the bottle she will start wailing if you don't get it in her mouth in five seconds.
--fills our hearts more than we ever knew she could. Baby girl, all three of us fight over who gets to hold you.
