This past weekend our dear friends,
The Hauschilds, came to visit and celebrate Kurt's birthday. We had a blast hanging out, catching up, hiking, playing with the girls & our dogs, watching the Oscars (Chris won our homemade ballot contest), going to dinner & a movie, having a dead car towed, buying a new car, and laughing. A lot. We were also graced with a delicious meal prepared by Joie straight out of Julia Childs' The Art of French Cooking. Bon Appetit!!!
Here are some pictures from the bouncy house that we went to two days in a row when the weather wasn't so great and the girls needed to blow off some steam.
On our way in the new Honda Pilot!

Bouncy slides are fun!!!

Avari having fun with Daddy and Mommy

But, as we all know, kids often have the most fun with the things you'd least expect. In a giant room full of multiple bouncy houses, slides, and toys, both girls became obsessed with: heels. Little plastic princess heels about 6 sizes too big for them. They tried on heels, traded heels, cooked in heels, rearranged furniture in heels, mowed in heels, and in general strutted their stuff in heels. Enjoy.

My fave shot. :)
And two hard-earned, calorie-laden, nutrient-lacking Happy Meals to end the day. :)
