3 Months Old!

Delilah is now 3 months old and growing every day. She's currently a fan of: sucking on her toes, taking showers with Mommy, sitting up with a little help, bouncing on Daddy's lap, rolling 75% of the way over, grabbing anything she can, the song "You are my Sunshine", laughing at funny faces, and figuring out which one of her fingers tastes the best.

Happy Birthday, Avari!

This past weekend, our good friends, the Hauschilds, moved from Los Angeles to Baton Rouge. They drove across the country, and decided to stop in Austin on their way. Kurt and I went to school together in L.A. and Chris & I became great friends with Kurt and his wife, Joie. When they had their first daughter last year, we were honored to become her Godparents. She just turned one on June 28th and our present was a photo session with the amazing Michele at Pinkletoes. Here are a few of the pics from the session...we'll get more soon! As always, the pictures are incredible. Of course, it doesn't hurt that our goddaughter is absolutely stunning!!

Our Not So Professional Shots

We also took our own shots of Avari while she was here. Not nearly as good as Michele's pics, but we like them anyway. :)

Kurt reading Chris's favorite Dr. Seuss story. Chris is clearly indulging his inner 6-year-old.

Here's Kurt reading to the appropriate party.
And these last two shots are Avari enjoying the swings and the slides at the playground. Enjoy Louisiana, Hauschild Family, and come back and visit anytime!!!

Welcome Back to Texas

We also got to see our friends, the Stovers, this past weekend. They recently moved back to Texas from Georgia and we were so excited to see them! Ben and Chris have been friends since grade school...over 20 years!! Ben and his sweet wife, Amanda, have 3 adorable little boys and we spent all of Sunday hanging out. The boys played in the backyard, and then we all went to the Salt Lick and gorged ourselves on barbecue. In the middle of all of it, the two oldest boys (Tyler and Luke) found a little time to play make believe on Chris's motorcycle...see below. :)

Here is sweet Luke
Here's Tyler. What a cute little ham for the camera he is!! :)

And here they are together. Hope we get to see you all again very soon!!!

Happy 4th of July!

To celebrate 4th of July and their 20th wedding anniversary, my parents invited the family down to their beach house in Rockport. We had a fantastic time going out on their boats, fishing, hanging out, and catching up! The next few entries have some pics of everyone else, but I thought I'd start this first entry with just pics of Miss Delilah. Hope you like them! :)
First we have Miss D in her stylish Polo outfit...perfect for summers in The Hamptons. Delilah actually had quite a fashion show going this weekend, but there aren't many pictures of her cute outfits b/c someone was always holding her and you can't see her clothes in the pictures.

And in this picture, we thought Delilah had overdosed on the 4th of July festivities.

Closeup of the supposed overdose

But here is a picture of the real overdose.

And this is a pic of the roast beef sandwich that Delilah coudn't take her eyes off. She's never noticed our food before; I don't know why this intrigued her so much. But we thought a picture of Delilah next to a sandwich almost as big as her head was a keeper, so here it is.

One great big family

Here are pics from this weekend of Delilah with the family. There were 10 adults, 6 children (all under the age of 10), and 4 dogs. And that's with one of my brothers unable to make it! If his family would have been there, that would have added 2 adults and 3 more children. :) Here's a pic of the adults (well, Delilah is in there, too, but she's blocked). From left to right it's Cheryl (Mimi), my dad (Pop Pop), Jenny, Kelly, Jeff, me, Amy, Chris, Cannon, and John. Whew!

And here's a pic of the kids and three of the dogs. From left to right we have Hutch(the dog), Matthew, Ashton, Lauren, Cameron (holding Toby or Wiley...I can't tell them apart and the other one ran out of the photo), and Brenden holding Gryphon. Here are Lauren, Chris, and Brenden doting on Delilah. She handled all the commotion EXTREMELY well. But you can see Chris keeping her calm by getting her focused on her favorite stuffed animal, Winky...Here are a few pics of Lauren with Delilah...so cute!Cameron holding herAnd here's Brenden holding her. Brenden was so sweet with her...very protective. Kept making sure all the kids had washed their hands before they touched her...cute! And one time he came to me and said, "I didn't wash my hands, but I used the antibacterial stuff. One squirt kills 99% of germs, and I used 4 squirts!" So precious! :)

And, last but not least, a couple pics of Delilah with her Aunt Amy.

Happy Anniversary!

Not only was this past weekend the 4th of July, it was also my parents' 20th wedding anniversary. Here's a pic of the happy couple with a bottle of Cristal that my stepbrother and his wife gave them. They were generous enough to share the bottle with us...I would have never been that nice. It was absolutley delicious!! :)

And here they are holding the cards that my brother and I gave them...Cannon and I live in two different cities but we bought them the SAME card!!And, finally, here they are holding the presents that Chris&I and Cannon&Amy got them. On the left is the present from Cannon & Amy-a gift certificate for a professional photo session...and on the right is the present from Chris & I. It's a frame I had made with a maritime blessing on it. Perfect for hanging in their beachhouse! :)
