Handmade Fashion Fridays

Two new shirts and some burp cloths...didn't I say I was going to be more prolific? Sigh...

St. Patrick's Day top. I realized the night before that my little redhead had no warm-weather green clothes. The horror! :) So I whipped a little peasant top up for my leprechaun.
A few burp cloths for our dear friends in California who were expecting at the time. (And now she's here!...welcome, Roxy!!!!)
And this is a little top I made that was my first foray into stretchy, knit material. It has lettuce edged sleeves and hem, and is topstitched around the collar and armholes. I think it came out really cute and Delilah loves it. Hooray!

Utah Children's Museum

About two weeks ago, Chris had to go to Utah for work. Since his parents live there and Delilah can only fly free for one more month, they decided to make it a Daddy/daughter trip. How cute is that?!?! They flew out on Wednesday and came back on Sunday...and had a wonderful time. I have to admit, I was a little at loose ends, but I am so glad Red could have that time with her grandparents. Here are some pics Chris took while they were out there.

At the park with Papa H. These two LOVE each other! When we downloaded the pic below, Delilah saw it, clapped her hands and kept repeating, " H! H! H!"

Chris, Delilah, and Papa H also made a trip to the Children's Museum...Red was in heaven!

Music Time!

Inside the Oval Office. Can you see her little self behind the big desk?
"Okay, people, I want you to listen up. This is how we solve the world's problems"

Arts & Crafts (Always a Delilah favorite), some geography, and a tunnel:

And, finally, our little Texas girl on a steer.

For the record, Delilah came home, slept until 10am on Monday and until 11am on Tuesday. Having so much fun is hard work!!!!

Hauschild Visit Part II

Here are some more pics from around the house and on our hike.

We start with some bubbles in our front yard.

Here's a series of action shots of the girls playing in our living room. They're so cute!!!

And here's our hike with the girls and the dogs. We all had fun but I think it was definitely Runyon who had the best time!

A parting shot...

Hauschild Visit, Part I

This past weekend our dear friends, The Hauschilds, came to visit and celebrate Kurt's birthday. We had a blast hanging out, catching up, hiking, playing with the girls & our dogs, watching the Oscars (Chris won our homemade ballot contest), going to dinner & a movie, having a dead car towed, buying a new car, and laughing. A lot. We were also graced with a delicious meal prepared by Joie straight out of Julia Childs' The Art of French Cooking. Bon Appetit!!!

Here are some pictures from the bouncy house that we went to two days in a row when the weather wasn't so great and the girls needed to blow off some steam.
On our way in the new Honda Pilot!

Bouncy slides are fun!!!

Avari having fun with Daddy and Mommy
But, as we all know, kids often have the most fun with the things you'd least expect. In a giant room full of multiple bouncy houses, slides, and toys, both girls became obsessed with: heels. Little plastic princess heels about 6 sizes too big for them. They tried on heels, traded heels, cooked in heels, rearranged furniture in heels, mowed in heels, and in general strutted their stuff in heels. Enjoy.

My fave shot. :)

And two hard-earned, calorie-laden, nutrient-lacking Happy Meals to end the day. :)
